1) STOP PRESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2004 IRF R4 WORLD RAFTING CHAMPS (4 man rafts)!!! It has just
been announced that the Greeks
will be hosting the R4 WRC on the
new Olympic slalom course in
Athens. Details are still being finalised
but in the meantime we hope this
announcement will get you all
motivated and moving to prepare
for this event. The dates will be
sometime between late March and
early May.

2) OTHER EVENTS COMING UP:-
a)
INDIA CUP
Dates: 13 to 21 March 2004
Venue: River Satluj in Himachal Pradesh, India
Teams invited: Open to all IRF members (Men's and Women's teams)
Entry fee: $ 150 per team.
What's provided: All accomodation, meals and transportation will be
taken care of in India except
trainfare from New Delhi to Shimla and
back which is $ 100 per person.
Teams have to take care of their
international airfare, visa fees,
Insurance and personal rafting gear.
Rules of event: IRF rules.

EASTERRAFT - rafting race in Spring, April 10-12,
2004 (Easter
holidays) in Croatia.
Venue: River Dobra near Ogulin,
between Zagreb and Rijeka, grade 3-4+.

3) BIDS FOR 2005 WRC
There will be no R6 WRC in 2004. This is to allow countries and teams
to raise sufficient funding to get
themselves to the next R6 WRC in
2005! As usual, we are looking for
bids for this event and preference is
given to bids that assist the
teams as much as possible. Anyone
interested in bidding is to please
contact us.
